CANCELLATION / NO-SHOW POLICY

WELCOME TO REFINE DERMATOLOGY!


We’re accepting new patients of all ages including pediatric patients.


BASIC INFORMATION

We’re in network with all of the major carriers including;


  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (except for Network L)
  • United
  • UMR
  • Cigna
  • Aetna
  • Humana
  • Medicare (and supplemental plans)


We are NOT in network with Medicaid, BlueCare, TNCare, United Community Plans, Cigna EPO’s (Connect). But - we can still see you as a Self-Pay patient!


WHAT SERVICES DO WE PROVIDE?

  • General Dermatology – acne, rashes, warts, molluscum, skin tags, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, and more skin related issues
  • Cancer – skin cancer screening, mole checks, biopsies
  • Surgical – benign cysts, lipomas, skin cancers (we don’t offer MOHS procedures)
  • Cosmetic – toxins, fillers, micro needling (with and without PRP), chemical peels


HOW TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT

Give us a call or click on the button in the upper right of your screen titled ‘Book an Appointment’. Once you’ve done that we’ll find a time that works for your schedule, then send you a link for your patient portal so that you can fill out your forms online. We do request that our first time patients arrive 10 minutes early so that we can scan your information into your chart as well as our financial policy and HIPAA consent need to be signed in person.


We do understand that life happens and schedules change. We just ask that you communicate with us as soon as you know you need to change your appointment so that we can allow someone else to be seen sooner.


WHAT WILL MY DERMATOLOGY APPOINTMENT COST?

A new patient visit that doesn’t include any procedures will range from $73.23 to $161.52. Procedures can vary in charge but are usually from $50 to $150. Surgeries can be up to $600 but those would not be performed on the first visit and a more detailed estimate would be given before the procedure. 

Part of our mission is to be available for patients to receive care when they need it. This drives us to maintain same week availability for new and established patients. To do this, we need to clearly communicate appointment times with our patients and do our best to provide reminders. We also need your help to clearly communicate if you’ve had a change in your schedule and need to alter an appointment.


LIFE HAPPENS!


It happens to us too. We want to be able to accommodate patients that need an urgent visit. To do that, our schedule needs to be accurate. When a patient calls last minute to change their appointment or does not show up to their scheduled appointment, someone else who needs a visit could have been seen. For this reason, we have reluctantly implemented a cancellation policy.



If an appointment is rescheduled or cancelled within 48 hours of their appointment time, or by close of business on Friday for a Monday appointment the patient may incur;


  • $50 charge for follow-up visits
  • $100 charge for cosmetic visits
  • $150 charge for surgical visits


Our hope is that we never charge any patients these fees!
